Title: Flexographic Press Lead.
Shift: 2nd shift.
Compensation: $32.96/hr + $2/hr premium.

As a Flexographic Press Lead Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality packaging for customers across a variety of industries. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will lead press operations, support continuous improvement efforts, and help ensure safe, efficient, and quality-focused production.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
  • Operate and set up flexographic printing equipment to produce quality packaging products.
  • Lead safe and efficient production while meeting quality and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and waste reduction.
  • Train and support team members while promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Help deliver products our customers rely on every day.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, printing, or related production experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass color vision and color hue testing.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment and work throughout a manufacturing environment.
